A Captain on Varsity

Well the school year has begun and Reese was named one of the Captains for the team. He is playing very well, has scored several goals and has several assists. He is the fastest one on the team and works hard every game to play his best to help his team win, unfortunately they are not all as good as Reese and we are about 50/50 in our wins. The aggravating part of all of this is the fact that his coach is still sitting him for 10+ minutes a period and we cannot figure out why. He will score a goal and she immediately takes him out. The one game where he didnt play a good game, she kept him in most of the game............go figure. Well the high school soccer season is almost over and Reese will start practising with his MRL team this winter. He has a tournament in Florida in Dec./Jan. so Im sure they will be practising quite a bit before they leave.

Busy Summer.......

Well Reese has had a busy summer with his soccer. Two weeks ago he went to a soccer camp in Akron, Ohio, where he is interested in going to school. He had a great time, met great kids and learned alot. Last week he flew to Santa Barbara for a camp at the Univ. of SB for a week. Got to spend some time with family, learned alot at camp and was approached by a coach who saw potential in him. When he gets home he begins summer camp with his new MRL team. He cant wait to try out all the things he learned over the past two weeks. Good job Reese and its just the beginning for you.

MRL

Well our Reese set out to make a premier 1 team and ended up making a team a step up from Premier. He is on an MRL team out of Pontiac and will receive great coaching. We are very excited and proud of him, given he has only been playing soccer four or five years and to reach this level already says alot about his ability. He is fast and strong and will be a great asset to the team. In a week he leaves for Akron, Ohio to a college camp where he is interested in attending in the future. This will allow coaches to see his potential. When he returns from Ohio, the next day he flies to Santa Barbara, CA to a soccer camp out there. He will be well prepared for the coming season with his new team.

Premier 1

Well the Midland Fusion season is about over and our Reese was the highest goal scorer on the team. Though he didnt make his record of 20 goals, he did get 14 and the next highest scorer was 7. Tonight he went to a premier 1 team tryout and the coach said he had a spot on the team. Unfortunately he is trying out for an even higher level this weekend so we will wait to commit until this weekend is over. Im not sure about all the levels but I know it is way higher than the team he is currently playing on. He has two camps this summer, one in Akron, Ohio and one in Santa Barbara, CA so this will give him more experience yet.............The team he practised with today was in Pontiac, so wish him luck this weekend with his tryouts. He has also been working out and his stamina has increased tremendously. Go Reese!!!!!

Midland Tourny Champions

Well Reese has been busy with his soccer team, going to several tournaments already and playing league games. He has been on a goal scoring roll with eight goals in six games. They attended the Midland tournament this past weekend and won the Championship, winning all of their games. They will be heading to Ohio at the end of the month for a tournament around Dayton and then Reese will be attending some summer camps. He is planning to try out for the ODP, which is a camp that puts a US team together. He also wants to try out for a u18 team for next year in order to continue to up his game. He has been working out with a trainer and this seems to have pushed him to a new level of play, he is stronger, faster and he has alot of soccer sense, is able to read the field well. We will keep you posted and will now start contacting colleges in hopes of him getting a scholarship.
