News Flash

Reese has been invited by Western Michigan University to attend their prospects camp the weekend after Thanksgiving. We will be driving down to Kalamazoo to cheer him on, we are very excited and proud of him. Go Reese!

A Change of Heart

Well it has been almost a year since I posted and things have changed since then. Reese realized that without soccer he is not a happy camper so he began playing again with his WAZA team. He did really well and again went out for his high school team. Though the team did not fare well, Reese continued to work hard and play hard and at their end of the year awards banquet he was awarded the unsung hero and the coach award. It was a nice and well deserved ending to his senior year of soccer. He is now waiting to begin winter indoor practises with his WAZA team in preparation for spring. He is also looking to get into some college tryouts in order to play soccer next year.

The End............

Well this will be the last post for Reese's soccer career as he has decided to hang up his cleats. After recuperating from an injury he decided that soccer was not his first passion and that he had gotten out of hockey for the wrong reasons. He realizes that continuing with soccer would be a waste of time and money, (his time, our money) when his heart is not in it. He wants to return to the sport of hockey, which he misses, and play for the fun and recreation. He will concentrate heavily on his schooling in order to get one or two small scholarships to get him through four years of physical therapy training. It was fun while it lasted and the shame of it is, he was a really good soccer player.
